Schuylkill Valley Metro, Philadelphia to Reading, Pennsylvania
As part of a multi-disciplinary team to plan a light rail transit system between Philadelphia and Reading, SC produced the visual, recreation, land use, and socio-economic impact analyses for the Feasibility Study, Major Investment Study and the Draft Environmental Impact Statement. SC also produced schematic designs for 28 station sites including graphic presentations

Independence Mall Gateway Streetscape Improvements, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

SC served as the landscape architect for the Philadelphia Streets Department project to develop concepts and construction documents for a three-block sidewalk area encompassing the new Independence Mall Gateway Visitor Center, the National Constitution Center, and the Liberty Bell Pavilion. SC coordinate work with the National Park Service to develop designs for paving, and the selection of benches, bike racks, trash receptacles, bollards, and other circulation controls.
 

Pottstown Pedestrian Underpass, Pottstown, Pennsylvania
Pottstown Pedestrian Underpass is an adaptive reuse of a historic millrace as a new public walkway below the active railroad line in the heart of the Borough. SC conceived of the project in 1998 as a greenway link and authored the grant applications to fund construction. SC served as the planner, underpass designer, and landscape architect for the project.  The Underpass opened in 2007.

Winner of the 2007 Project of the Year (Under $5 Million) from the American Society of Highway Engineers Delaware Valley Chapter (ASHE).
